Celebrating Happy Moments

Tips

Celebrating happy moments are about bringing friends and family together to honour a bride or mother to be. It might even be just an excuse for a girly get together. If you are planning on hosting the celebration for a loved one, here are some great tips to help you be part of the celebration …

  • Baby or bridal shower celebrations are usually held in the afternoon so you’ll need to consider the food and drink accordingly.
  • Aim for a menu that can be prepared in advance so that you can also celebrate the happy moment and not be stuck in the kitchen.
  • Discuss who you are inviting with the guest of honour so you don’t 'leave anyone out’.
  • For a baby shower consider some interesting non-alcoholic beverages so that the guest of honour doesn’t feel left out
  • Bite sized food is ideal – that can be served on platters and passed from person to person.
  • Bite sized sandwiches like ham, Brie and chutney or Goats cheese and watercress are ideal and Fetta cheese tartlets are ideal.
  • Cakes are often traditionally served for these celebrations; consider serving an assortment of cup cakes – these can be made or bought and displayed on a tiered cake stand.
